Treatment options

One tooth or several.

We assess every case at consultation and discuss what's best for your specific situation.

🦷

Single tooth implant

For one missing tooth. A titanium post placed in the jawbone with a crown on top — looks, feels and functions like a natural tooth.

  • Doesn't damage neighbouring teeth (unlike a bridge)
  • Preserves the jawbone underneath
  • Brushed and flossed like a normal tooth
🦷🦷

Multiple implants

For several missing teeth. Two or more implants supporting a bridge or individual crowns — restoring full chewing function.

  • Stable, fixed-in-place teeth (not removable)
  • Often fewer implants than missing teeth needed
  • Custom-planned with 3D imaging
The process

From consult to final crown.

Five clear steps over 3 to 6 months. Same dentist. Same clinic. No middlemen.

1

Implant consultation

Dr Belal does a full assessment, takes 3D scans, reviews your medical history, and discusses your options. You leave with a written treatment plan and a fixed quote.

Day 1
2

Preparation (if needed)

Some patients need an extraction or bone graft first. We do this in the same clinic — no specialist referrals.

As required
3

Implant placement

Dr Belal places the titanium implant under local anaesthetic using 3D-guided surgery. The procedure itself takes 60 to 90 minutes per implant.

Day 1 surgery
4

Healing & integration

The implant fuses with your jawbone — a process called osseointegration. You go about normal life with regular check-ins from us.

3–4 months
5

Crown fitting

Once the implant is fully integrated, we fit your custom-made crown. You walk out with a complete smile.

FAQ

Common questions.

Every case is different. The cost depends on whether you're replacing one tooth or several, the condition of your jawbone, whether you need any preparation work like extractions or bone grafting, and which implant system suits your case. We don't quote a price online because every patient is unique. After your implant consultation with Dr Belal Aly, you'll receive a detailed written treatment plan with a clear, fixed quote — no surprises.
The procedure itself is performed under local anaesthetic, so you won't feel pain during placement. Most patients describe the discomfort afterwards as similar to a tooth extraction — manageable with regular pain relief and gone within 2 to 4 days. We use 3D-guided surgery to make placement precise and minimally invasive.
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, implants are designed to last decades — many last a lifetime. The crown attached to the implant may need replacement after 15-20 years due to normal wear, but the titanium implant itself fuses with your jawbone.
Most adults with healthy gums and adequate jawbone are candidates. Smokers, people with uncontrolled diabetes, or those who've had significant bone loss may need additional preparation or alternative options. Dr Belal Aly assesses every patient individually with 3D scans during your consultation — no guesswork.
From start to finish, expect 3 to 6 months for a single implant. The implant is placed first, then we wait 3 to 4 months for it to fuse with the bone (osseointegration), then the crown is fitted. Multiple implants follow the same timeline. Some cases allow same-day temporary teeth, which we discuss at consultation.
Dr Belal Aly performs the entire process in-house at our Berala clinic — from 3D scans and surgical placement through to crown fitting. You see the same dentist for every appointment, with no specialist referrals or handoffs.
Yes. We accept Afterpay and Zip Pay for implant treatment, which let you spread the cost over manageable instalments without traditional finance interest. We can discuss what suits your situation at your consultation.

🦴 Replace a missing tooth

Dental implants.

A titanium root placed in the jaw, a porcelain crown on top. It looks, feels, and cleans like a real tooth. Every implant is 3D-planned so we know the exact position before we start.

Dental implants — start to finish.

1

3D plan

CBCT scan maps your bone, nerves, sinuses. We plan the exact position in software before touching you.

2

Place the implant

60–90 min, local anaesthetic + happy gas if needed. Most patients say 'that's it?'

3

Heal (3 months)

Bone fuses to the implant (osseointegration). You eat normally with a temporary on top if visible.

4

Crown on top

Custom porcelain crown. Looks and functions like a real tooth. Cleans like one too.

Full timeline: 4–6 months from tooth loss to finished crown. Rushed implants = failed implants. We don't rush.

Which one do you need?

🦷Single implant

One missing tooth, one implant, one crown. Looks and works exactly like a real tooth. Doesn't affect the neighbours.

Multiple missing teeth in a row. Two implants support a bridge across the gap — cheaper than one implant per tooth.

2 implants · 3–4 teeth

🪥Implant-supported denture

Full arch missing. 2–4 implants anchor a denture that clips in. No slipping, eats like real teeth, removable for cleaning.

4 implants · full archMay require referral

🎯3D planning, always

Every implant is planned on a CBCT scan before your surgery. We know the exact angle, depth, and size before we start — no surprises.

🏅Premium titanium

We use Straumann and Nobel Biocare implants — the two most clinically-studied brands with 30+ year success rates.

😌Sedation available

Happy gas, oral sedation, or full sleep dentistry for anxious patients. You can doze through the whole thing.

What if you don't have enough bone?

After you lose a tooth, the bone in that spot starts shrinking within 6 months. The longer you wait, the less bone is available to hold an implant. This is the #1 reason people are told "you can't have an implant".

The good news: we can almost always rebuild it. Bone grafting uses your own bone, donor bone, or synthetic material to regrow the area. It adds 3–6 months to the timeline, not years.

Common questions.

How long do dental implants last?
With good home care and regular check-ups, 10+ years is achievable, and many last a lifetime. The implant itself (the titanium root) usually outlasts everything else — it's the crown on top that may need replacing at 15–20 years. Implants have a 95%+ long-term success rate, making them the most reliable tooth replacement available.
Is implant surgery painful?
During: no. You're fully numb and can add happy gas or sedation. Most patients say placing the implant is easier than having a tooth extracted. After: mild ache for 2–3 days, managed with ibuprofen. You can return to work the next day for most single implants. We see you at 1 week for a check and to remove stitches if used.
Will the implant look and feel real?
Yes. The implant itself sits under the gum (invisible), and the porcelain crown on top is shade-matched to your other teeth. Most patients forget which tooth is the implant within a few weeks. It's cleaned like a normal tooth (brush, floss, check-ups) with no special maintenance.
Can I pay it off with Afterpay or Zip?
Yes — both are accepted, approved at the chair in under 60 seconds. Afterpay splits into 4 fortnightly payments, Zip Pay into weekly or monthly. Most implant patients split the total across 8–12 payments to spread the cost comfortably. We also process HICAPS for any private health rebate on the day.
Should I just get a bridge instead?
A bridge is faster and cheaper up front, but it comes with trade-offs: we have to grind down the two healthy teeth on either side to anchor it, and the bone under the missing tooth keeps shrinking because there's no root to stimulate it. Bridges typically last 10–15 years before needing redoing. Implants don't touch the neighbours, preserve the bone, and last longer. For most single-tooth gaps, the implant is the better long-term call — but we'll walk you through both options honestly.
What happens if the implant fails?
It's uncommon (under 5%), but possible. Early failures (first few months) are usually caused by the bone not fusing properly — we remove the implant, let the site heal, and re-place it at no extra cost. Late failures (years in) are almost always caused by gum disease around the implant (peri-implantitis), preventable with good hygiene and 6-monthly cleans. We follow up every single implant patient long-term.
